Status of this website
upme.com is the website of UpMe Ltd., and the product is being built in the open: the rules are published before the product, and the challenge opens at rulebook v1.2. Live today: accounts, the public forecast desk and the market dossiers. No trading account exists until the challenge opens. Nothing on this website is an offer, an invitation to treat, a solicitation, investment advice or a recommendation, and nothing on it forms a contract with anyone.
What UpMe Ltd. is building: a paid evaluation on a simulated account, where a payout is a performance fee on a simulated result rather than investment income, and later a licensed retail CFD and FX brokerage — an authorisation we do not hold today. We hold no licence, we are not authorised or regulated by any financial authority, and we do not claim to be.
Every rule, limit, policy and commitment published here describes what the challenge will open under. Where a figure appears — a percentage limit, a settlement window, a minimum — it is a published commitment, not a term currently in force.
Who we are
upme is operated by UpMe Ltd., registered in Anguilla.
Two structural decisions we can state now. First, the evaluation business and any future brokerage business will be separate companies with separate balances; a pooled wallet across the two is ruled out. Second, an evaluation fee is the operating company’s revenue and is never client money held on anyone’s behalf. Both are described on the home page.
Regulatory status
UpMe Ltd. operates a simulated-account evaluation service: the accounts are simulated and place no orders in any market. Per legal advice obtained by the company, that activity does not require financial-services authorisation in Anguilla. upme is therefore not authorised or regulated by any financial authority, and does not claim to be. Stated as plainly as it can be stated:
- upme holds no financial services licence of any kind, in any jurisdiction.
- upme is not authorised or regulated by any financial authority.
- upme is not a member of any investor compensation scheme, and no compensation limit applies to anything on this site.
- No licence application has been made, and we will not describe an intention as an application or an application as an authorisation.
The future retail CFD and FX brokerage — the fourth stage on the roadmap — is a different activity: it requires authorisation as an investment firm, and it opens only with it. Until then it is not being marketed and cannot be signed up for.
“Not requiring authorisation” is not a synonym for “approved”: it means there is no regulator supervising the evaluation service and no regulator to complain to about us. We would rather write that sentence ourselves than have it discovered.
Risk
Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of rapid loss. The large majority of people who buy a prop-firm evaluation do not pass it. Buying one is not an investment. It buys an assessment with an uncertain outcome, and the fee is at risk in full.
We publish no pass rate, no payout total, no average return and no trader count, because we have none. When those numbers exist they will be ours, with the method shown. We will not quote another firm’s statistics as though they described us, in either direction.
Where this is not directed
This website is informational and is not directed at any person in any jurisdiction where publishing it would require an authorisation we do not hold. If a product launches, the list of jurisdictions it is and is not offered in will be published here before the first account opens, not discovered at checkout.
Privacy: what we store
Two forms on this site collect anything at all: the account form (email, a password hash, a date) and the forecast form (a probability against a hashed identity). The retired waitlist form stored:
- the email address you type;
- the date and time it was submitted;
- which form it came from;
- a one-way hash of your IP address, salted with a secret we hold, used only to rate-limit submissions and never reversible back to an address.
That is the complete list. No name, no raw IP address, no advertising identifier, no profile, and nothing shared with, sold to, or processed by a third party for their purposes.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner to dismiss. The one cookie that exists is the account session — first-party, HttpOnly, holding a random token and nothing about you — and signing out deletes it server-side. Traffic measurement uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-less and does not fingerprint or track visitors across sites. There are no advertising pixels, no session recording, no A/B testing scripts and no third-party tags of any kind. Your colour-theme choice is kept in your own browser’s local storage and is never sent anywhere.
Removing yourself
Every email we send carries a one-click removal link, and removal deletes the record rather than flagging it. You can also ask at hello@upme.com and we will delete it and confirm. If the project is abandoned, the list is deleted rather than transferred.
About the research library
Articles under /learn/ describe how mechanisms in this industry work and what named firms’ own published terms say. They quote published documents — regulator publications, filed accounts, court records, and firms’ own websites — and each carries the date it was checked.
They do not allege dishonesty, bad faith or intent on the part of any firm or person, and they do not rate, rank or recommend anyone, including us. Where a published term has changed since we read it, tell us at hello@upme.com and the article is corrected with a dated line rather than quietly edited.
Nothing in the library is investment advice or a recommendation to use any service.
