First payout requires 5 winning days of $150+ Net P&L (XFA Standard) — winning days, not calendar days. Per-cycle cap: 50% of balance up to $2k ($50K) / $3k ($100K) / $5k ($150K).

Denial clauses

The published grounds on which this firm can refuse or void a payout, quoted verbatim from its own terms. Where the firm advertises “no denials” and publishes refusal grounds elsewhere, both are noted.

Consistency rule (best day)

“Your best single day should stay below 50% of your Profit Target to avoid increasing your Consistency Target.” Best-day above 50% does not fail the Combine but raises the consistency target.

Daily Loss Limit breach

Hitting the Daily Loss Limit (e.g. $1,000 on a $50K Combine) pauses trading for the day; the account survives. Repeated or funded-stage breaches can end the account.

Maximum Loss Limit breach

The Maximum Loss Limit is trailing on end-of-day balance, monitored in real time including unrealised P&L. If hit, the account is liquidated immediately. “Maximum Loss Limits cannot be adjusted or changed on your account. Topstep does not make exceptions.”
